The study in question can be found in Berlin in a historic villa dating back to the Gründerzeit, the Founding Epoch in German history. This splendid villa is a listed building. It was simply one element of a door that served as the model for the building of the library. All the work was then performed in the Paschen ateliers and workshops in Wadersloh. Even the shade chosen was determined by using a RAL colour chart. Arches and ornamentation were taken from existing patterns and designs.
